To accomplish this, we perform a complete history and comprehensive musculoskeletal exam, including range of motion and orthopedic neurological tests. Our training gives us the ability to use high-tech, innovative diagnostics like electromyography (EMG) and nerve conduction studies (NCS) to assess nerve damage.

These tests help your doctor determine how well your muscles and nerves work. An EMG is a test that measures the electrical nerve impulses in muscles to identify poor nerve input or poor nerve functioning. NCS measures how well a nerve works and can help specify the site of a nerve injury. The tests are often performed at the same time to help diagnose nerve compression or injury (such as carpal tunnel syndrome), nerve root injury (such as sciatica), or other nerve abnormalities associated with pain or numbness.

After a diagnosis has been determined, conservative treatments are utilized to release injured and tight muscles, re-educate injured areas, and rebuild them for maximum performance.
